Saskatoon Symphony playing in the gymnasium of the University of Saskatchewan. The symphony played at the 1,600 seat gymnasium from 1955 until the opening of the Centennial Auditorium. Eddie Mather.
Eddie Mather at the far right in the photograph, with a saxophone and a trombone, is shown with his band around 1935. In addition to being a musician, he was also a gunsmith, violin-maker, machinist, model builder, archer, and track and field athlete. He played in the Quaker Oats Orchestra, the Saskatoon Symphony and in pit orchestras in local theatres. He was one of the founding members of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra.

Don Messer's Jubilee company performing on stage at Massey Ferguson's Farmarama at Exhibition stadium. In B-10295-1, Don Messer is in the centre playing the fiddle, in B-10295-2 he is turned towards the piano player behind him. At left is Charlie Chamberlain on guitar. There are seven band members in total. The popular group from the Maritimes had their own CBC television show for many years. (One of series B-10292 to B-10297)
