The Bud Weaver Memorial Trophy.

Photograph of the Bud Weaver Memorial Trophy for high school football. Until 1946, a provincial high school football final had never been held, but in the course of a few days that November, the idea took wing. Four days before the game, former Huskie players, got together with the University of Saskatchewan coaches. They each tossed in $15 to go toward buying a trophy to be awarded to the provincial high school football champion. In honour of Bud Weaver and other Huskies the inscription reads: In revered memory of the members of the University of Saskatchewan Huskies who lost their lives in the Great War 1939-45.
