Portrait of Ron Friesen.

Portrait of Ron Friesen who came from Moose Jaw to attend University of Saskatchewan in 1967, and distinguished himself in diving. In 1968-69, 1969-70, 1970-71, he was selected Canadian College Diver of the Year; won the Howard Nixon trophy as outstanding male athlete at University of Saskatchewan, represented Canada at 1970 British Commonwealth Games in Scotland, competed at World Student Games in Turin, Italy, and represented Canada at the Pan Am Games in Cali, Columbia in 1971, the same year he was named Athlete of the Year for the City of Saskatoon. In 1972 he represented Canada in two diving events at Olympic Gamis in Munich, Germany.
