Group of people stranded by bridge washout in 1904.

Group of commercial travellers stranded by bridge washout in 1904. They were marooned here for three weeks. The original QLLS bridge was rebuilt and repaired several times because of ice jams. In 1906 the QLLS line was taken over by the Canadian Northern Railway.

Variety of images related to the armed forces.

B-2984, B-2991: Parade of military men with rifles walk alongside a train.

B-2985: Soldiers with packs and helmets on their backs march through a chain link fence gate onto 1st Avenue South and 22nd Street. Federal Building is at the right. Fashion Fur can be seen at the corner of 2nd Avenue.

B-2986: Military parade, lead by a band, moves down 3rd Avenue. The two top floors of the Bay store can be seen at the far left. Vic Robertson Tire Service at 123 3rd Avenue North and Crescent Motors, 133-139 3rd Avenue North.

B-2987: Military men and civilians stand at attention at the corner of 21st Street and 2nd Avenue for a wreath laying at the Cenotaph. The Cenotaph would be at the right, but is not visible in this photograph. A portion of a floral arrangement can be seen at the right.

B-2988-1 and B-2988-2: Parade moves west along 19th Street East.

B-2989: Troops stand between tracks at the railway station. They are carrying packs on their backs with helmets, front and shoulder packs.

B-2990: Royal Canadian Navy personnel march down the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North. King George Hotel and the Bay can be seen on 2nd Avenue

B-2993: Military trucks loaded with troops move down 2nd Avenue North, past the Bay. The Patricia Hotel can be seen at the right in the distance

B-2995: Military personnel and civilians on a stage in from of Vic Robertson's Tire Service in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue North. A Victory Bonds sign is next to the stage.

B-2996: Women in uniform march past the stage. Several veterans are present near the stag.
