"C. C. Conv. 1938 Emma Lake, Sask" inscribed on photo. C. C.? possibly "Chamber of Commerce"? To the left, a small group of women and children are gathered in front of a concession or cafe that sports a Coco-Cola sign. A large group of men pose in front of a parking lot and a large building. Two of the men have been identified as Doug Cavers and Cecil DeRoche. Cavers had resided in Saskatoon for 43 years. He had served as president of the Board of Trade for many years,. DeRoche was a chartered accountant and president of the Quaker Hockey Club.

Second World Youth Conferece.

Panoramic photograph of the delegates of the Second World Youth Conference at Vassar College in Pouhkeepsie, New York, August 16-23, 1938. Over 700 representatives from 54 countries attended. Three Saskatoon young people have been identified in the photograph. James Houston, John Egnatoff, Laura Chapman. Miss Chapman wrote a series of articles for the Saskatoon Star Phoenix from New York about the conference. She became a Saskatoon Teacher for many years.
